Is it a real person?
No, and it says so. It introduces itself as an assistant on every call. It takes a message and passes it on; it does not make judgement calls or quote a price it has not been given.
What if the caller wants to speak to me?
It puts them through to your mobile. If you do not pick up, it takes the message and texts you.
What happens at night?
The same as in the day. It answers on the first ring, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, tells the caller someone will ring back, and you get the summary by text and email within a minute.
Can it book appointments?
On Reception Plus and Pro, yes. It books straight into your Google Calendar and confirms the time to the caller.
What does it cost if I get more calls than the plan?
The minutes over your plan are charged at the plan's rate: 30p a minute on Reception, 25p on Plus, 20p on Pro. You get a text and an email when you reach 80 percent and 100 percent of your included minutes, so nothing is a surprise.
Is there a contract?
Three months minimum from the day it goes live, then monthly with 30 days' notice by email. Or pay for the year in advance: £1,450 for Reception, £2,400 for Reception Plus, £3,350 for Reception Pro.
Do I keep the number if I leave?
Yes. The number is provided by us for the service, and after the minimum term you can take it with you for £50. If you forwarded your own existing number to it, that number was always yours.
